Hello, I am Bianca!
In my practice, I specialize in integrating Somatic Experiencing® principles and practices into our work together. Somatic Experiencing® provides a powerful framework for healing by recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. Together, we explore the ways in which past experiences and traumas manifest in the body, creating habitual patterns that can hold us back from living our fullest lives. My goal is to support individuals in fostering a gentler, more empathetic dialogue within themselves, as they pave the way for fully embracing all emotions and sensations, comfortable and uncomfortable.
How can I help you?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from yourself, your emotions, or others—you’re not alone. You may be turning to substances to cope, struggling with anxiety or anger, or carrying physical tension that never fully goes away. Maybe you're tired of procrastinating, of repeating patterns that no longer serve you, and you’re ready for a change—but not sure where to start.

Why work with me?
-
Increased self-awareness: Learn how to reconnect with and listen to your body's signals, allowing you to identify when a boundary has been crossed.
-
Release of tension: Practice releasing physical stress and tightness stemming from past experiences.
-
Improved emotional control: teaching you how to manage your emotions more effectively, by building tolerance to feelings of sadness or anger and preventing them from becoming overwhelming.
-
Discovering your strengths: You'll uncover your inner strengths and resources that can help you navigate challenging situations.
About Me.
I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field, beginning as a volunteer on the Distress Lines with Community Torchlight. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph in 2019, followed by a post-graduate certificate in Addiction: Treatment and Prevention from Georgian College in 2020. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and expect to be fully qualified by May 2026.
Presently, I work as a Community Outreach Counsellor for a St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton, supporting adults and youth facing a wide range of challenges, including homelessness, addiction, PTSD, medical trauma, and experiences of sexual or physical abuse. I also work with individuals managing the mental and emotional demands of caring for reactive dogs, dog aggression, and pets with complex medical needs.
My approach is practical, client-focused, and grounded in real-world experience. I aim to offer support that is both effective and respectful of each person's unique situation.
